view content save article
Abstract:

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization has been attaching great importance to public health security and actively participating in global health governance. As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, the importance of health issues on the SCO’s agenda is continuously on the rise. More efforts are needed to establish and improve its health governance mechanisms, promote health cooperation at both regional and global levels through the Belt and Road Initiative, and intensify cooperation with international health organizations.
